One cold, gray, day I gave my neighbor, Arlene a call. I was missing her,
it had been months since we even passed each other on the street.
We got together that very day.
Then we had another neighbor then another.
We get together each Friday now.
Sometimes it’s two sometimes it’s four.
It’s a day I look forward to, maybe it’s because they are all such great gals.
We’re always trying to find ways to be economical, or a good recipe. Talk about family,
share jokes. It’s not an evening to be serious, it’s a lot of fun.
Last week Arlene said she’d like to get back to knitting.
I showed her a nice book for ideas.
“Last Minute KNITTED GIFTS” By Joelle Hoverson
She looked at the cover and loved the little bag.

.
Then I brought out some of my stash. I thought any one of these yarns would
be a perfect pick to make a bag.

with the same yarn. Use a darning needle.
(no that’s not the directions but it’s supposed
to be easy and that’s what we’re going to do.)
She is going to use a satin ribbon instead of an I-Cord.
This is the start of it.

I think she’s going to have a lot of fun with it. She already knows exactly
why she’s making it. And when she’s done I’ll post pictures.

It’s not cold and gray here anymore!
