Love the colors and the style of the hat, Mary Ellen! How cute! Looks like it's going to be very warm! Which of your cherubs will be inheriting this set?

If you plant your China Doll outside next to your house, you will have better luck with it. My is planted on the north side of my house and has grown to over 25 feet. It now blooms a very nice long trumpet flower. The base is well over 6 inches thick. I didn't know they would grow outside until I went to our friends house and he had 3 of them growing outside. He has been trying to get rid of one for 10 years, but it keeps coming back!
My China doll is right next to a faucet that leaks when its turned on, so it gets water when I water the yard. It has lived thru mild winters, wet winters, a freezing winter, and now it has gone thur a real hot spell, of over 100 degrees, which is unusal for our area north of the Golden Gate Bridge.
So try abusing your plant outside and you may be suprised!

Good luck with the sweater... I wish I knew how to knit. The kids look like they had a blast at Fenway! Your orchids are beautiful and so is your home - is that a sun room? How I'd love one!! I was just at The Christmas Tree Shop yesterday. I wanted to pick up a few items for a fall giveaway I'll be doing soon. Have a great week - keep warm - it's gotten so COLD!!!... Donna

I love knitting top down.

You're smarter than I am, though. I always buy way too much yarn. I usually have enough left over for a matching scarf and hat. LOL.

Hope you post your progress along the way.

Best regards,
Darilyn

Okay, you would just be too much fun to hand out with. And your home looks so inviting and pleasant. Wish I could see it in person. What lucky little folks.

I hope you're having a great day.

What a touch you have with orchids and your other beautiful plants..

It still amazes me to see orchids growing "wild" here. I had a friend that raised them in California and he fussed so with them and had them in a greenhouse. He would have been envious of your beauties.

The orchids are glorious, Mary Ellen! How beautiful! I had an orchid once and I managed to kill it within weeks! The China Doll plant is really pretty too. Your porch is great! It must be so nice to sit out there for your meals and look at your beautiful trees and listen to the birds sing.
